Hygiene Protocols

Standard practices of hygiene/infection control have been in place for a number of years however with the COVID19 pandemic, new additional measures have been implemented to keep you as safe as possible. Training has been undertaken to reduce the risk of infection, initially through an Infection Control module of Professional Practice training through the Council of Australian Reiki Organisations & recently through an online COVID19 Infection Control Training with the Department of Health & St John Ambulance.

As requirements change, due to restrictions being relaxed and/or implemented, these protocols may change without notice.

For hands-on treatments, masks will be worn by the Reiki practitioner at Komyo ReikiDo Melbourne. Protocols set by healthcare agencies for mask wearing, are adhered to. For clients & students, masks are optional.

We request that everyone observe hygiene practices of

  • frequent hand washing.

  • avoid touching your face.

  • covering your mouth when coughing and/or sneezing.

  • keeping social distance where possible while on the premises.

Soap, hand sanitiser, disinfectant wipes, tissues & paper towels will be available for everyone’s use.

As there is direct contact with both treatments and classes, there may be a possibility of disease transmission including COVID19. All clients and students will be asked to observe and adhere to hygiene practices while on the premises to maintain a safe as possible environment in a shared space.

If you have cold or flu-like symptoms, please reschedule.

If you no longer have a fever and are feeling well apart from a persisting cough, please call before attending your appointment or class.

Any fees paid for treatments or classes, will be held over to the next available date. Reiki Share fees are not refundable.
