Finding Deeper Meaning Through Reiki.

'My aim is to help you find some balance & well-being.

My vision is to see Reiki in every household.

Practice simply & learn more about yourself through Reiki. Reiki is not just about the physical, it is about personal development, a process that grows your comfort zone so you can find calm in the chaos.

Learning Reiki was the best life decision I've made.'

Hyakuten Inamoto & Sally Wain - Melbourne Oct 2017

Hello, my name is Sally Wain. I am an experienced Reiki practitioner and Reiki teacher specialising in Komyo ReikiDo (pron. Koh-m-yoh Ray-key Doh), a Reiki system that has some Buddhist concepts and is based on traditional Japanese Reiki techniques and practices.

I originally trained in a Western style of Reiki in 2006. After undertaking a Reiki Mastership in 2007, the pull to train in spiritual practices led me to complete a Classical Yoga Diploma under Swami Shantananda in 2008. The primary focus of this yoga teacher training was meditation and self-inquiry, which continues today. I enrolled without hesitation when Inamoto Hyakuten Sensei came to Melbourne in 2012. My curiosity and my sense that there was something more to what I originally learnt as a Reiki practitioner and Reiki Master, called me to attend Inamoto Sensei’s first visit to Australia. I went on to co-host Inamoto Sensei’s 2015 seminar in Sydney and then hosted the 2017 and 2023 seminars in Melbourne.

I have studied other Reiki systems at the teaching level. Still, the spiritual nature of Komyo ReikiDo was the one that fitted my pursuit of something more than the physical hands-on Reiki as taught in my Western Reiki origins. The 2015 seminar cemented my desire to teach this keep-it-simple style of Reiki exclusively. I support Inamoto Sensei internationally by taking on the Komyo ReikiDo International's administrator role and hosting Zoom gatherings and Refresher courses for the Komyo ReikiDo community in the Asia Pacific and Americas time zones. I am Inamoto Sensei's representative in Australia and formed Komyo ReikiDo Australia & New Zealand.

Komyo ReikiDo led me to pursue additional spiritual training in 2015 with a Buddhist group in Melbourne. I became a Sangha member in January 2016. Since the pandemic, my studies with the Sangha have reduced due to the opening of a dedicated Reiki Studio in Mitcham in 2022. My spiritual practice continues with the practices of Komyo ReikiDo and Zazen for ongoing spiritual support and growth.

All this started with my background in a corporate office, where working in high-pressure environments triggered a need for change. I still work in an office. Reiki Ryoho has changed my perception & made the corporate working environment a better place to be.

Reiki is about self-discovery. It is a journey of finding ourselves without judgment, to be happy because we can, and to be healthy in our views, reactions, and physical bodies. In essence, all of us want to be happy and healthy. Reiki Ryoho is a way to achieve both.
