Finding Deeper Meaning Through Reiki.

'My aim is to help you find some balance & well-being.

My vision is to see Reiki in every household.

Practice simply & learn more about yourself through Reiki. Reiki is not just about the physical, it is about personal development, a process that grows your comfort zone so you can find calm in the chaos.

Learning Reiki was the best life decision I've made.'

Hyakuten Inamoto & Sally Wain - Melbourne Oct 2017

Hello, I’m Sally Wain.

I am an experienced Reiki practitioner and teacher specialising in Komyo ReikiDo (pronounced Koh-m-yoh Ray-key Doh)—a gentle, spiritually grounded Reiki system based on traditional Japanese techniques and informed by Buddhist principles.

My Reiki journey began in 2006 with Western-style Reiki, followed by a Reiki Mastership in 2007. A strong pull toward deeper spiritual practice led me to complete a Classical Yoga Diploma under Swami Shantananda in 2008, with a focus on meditation and self-inquiry.

In 2012, I met Inamoto Hyakuten Sensei during his first visit to Melbourne. His teachings opened a new doorway for me, revealing the depth I had been seeking in Reiki. I have since supported Inamoto Sensei by hosting and co-hosting seminars in Australia (2015, 2017, 2023) and Kyoto (2024), and I continue to host online gatherings and refresher sessions for Komyo ReikiDo practitioners across Australasia and the Americas.

While I have studied several Reiki systems at the teaching level, the spiritual simplicity and clarity of Komyo ReikiDo resonated most deeply. Since 2015, I have dedicated myself to teaching this lineage exclusively. I support Komyo ReikiDo International as an administrator, represent Inamoto Sensei in Australia, and founded Komyo ReikiDo Australia & New Zealand.

My practice naturally expanded into Buddhist study, and I became a Sangha member in 2016. Although my involvement has shifted since opening my Reiki Studio in Mitcham in 2022, my spiritual practice continues through Komyo ReikiDo and Zazen.

My journey began in the corporate world, where high-pressure environments pushed me to seek a more balanced and meaningful way of living. Reiki has transformed not only how I work, but how I understand myself—and it continues to guide me every day.

To me, Reiki is a path of self-discovery. It helps us meet ourselves with compassion, cultivate happiness, and support wellbeing in body, mind, and spirit. At our core, we all wish to be happy and healthy—Reiki Ryoho offers a way to realise both.
